December 20, 2012
Since I began this blog, on December 15, 2011, I have met, connected, and reconnected with a lot of people who have impacted and contributed to my healing and recovery journey. Some of these are fellow bloggers and people whom I may never meet in person. Some are people I’ve known for years. One thing they all have in common is they are writers, and several of them have taken the step to become published authors.
I have reached the part of my recovery journey where I can see beyond the tip of my nose and am able , in some small way, to reach out and contribute into the lives of others, as they have given into mine. After years of feeling guilty because I couldn’t live up to expectation of what that should look like, I have realized that working with words is a gift, a talent, and a passion of mine. If I start there, then I find I can use that to build others up, encourage, and inspire them. I’m really grateful for this recent realization.
In honor of these people, the journey I’ve been on, and my recent realizations, I have done some author interviews to help my friends promote their work and introduce them to new audiences. They are an eclectic bunch, but they all have amazing stories and experiences of growth, healing, and recovery to share. Please, check them out. Grab your favorite beverage and sit a spell with us.
